What a worthless piece of crap that was, I've seen better fights at the local bar. The announcer had to be the worst part of an already horrible production. He reminds me of a local vendor at the mavericks game that yells "peanuts, popcorn" with that voice to get fans attention. If I had actually paid for this, I would feel violated, and would try and get a refund. Ricco was running his mouth on inside mma saying he was going to whoop everyone, HAHA what a joke. Then he comes out looking very butterbean-esque and pulls the lay and pray routine. You got me once YAMMA, consider it a gift because it will never happen again. It's a brand new idea and most fighters probably were allowed little experience on it before hand. Since you can move backwards in the guard I think eventually there will be a technique to quickly get ones hips back underneath themselves once on the slope. Also there could be real cool possibilities for flying knees or high altitude take downs from the top. While the event sucked I don't think Yamma should be written off entirely (yet anyways). In MMA it's the individual fighters that make the biggest difference in any event, not the rules, fighting surface or the brand. Had there been a better fight card this could easily have been an interesting event. Two things that HAVE to go though are John Perretti and the announcer. John Perretti's comments were rarely insightful, abrasive, annoying and nothing but negative and counter-constructive. The cage announcer was by far the most terrible of any event I have ever seen, he sounded like he had just smoked 2 crates of cigarettes and was announcing through a voice box. Even the awful old Cage Rage announcer weirdo with the worst english accent ever would be a delight next to this guy.
