they’re making their road to build Kimbo up a little too obvious.. i mean.. not only are they giving Kimbo a guy that lost his last two fights.. but.. they’re giving him a guy who’s been KO’d so many times it’s not even funny.. i mean.. Colossus’ odds in this one are a Miracle Punch.. or some otherworldly takedown UD or something.. idk.. i’m not liking Colossus’ chances..

Hey Shaun!

You have to remember….the UFC has been around since the 90’s. Elite is what ……a year old?

Give Elite 5 or so years and I bet the competition level will easily be creeping up on the UFC. They just can’t put all of their best fighters against each other immediately. They have to build up all of the promising fighters so they can get a following and experience.

It just doesn’t make since, business wise, to take their 2-0 promising stand up fighter against a BJJ black belt with 20 or so fights. It makes no sense at all for Elite to do that. Decisions like that will make short work of EliteXC.

This will be an entertaining card and I am definitely looking forward to it. Gary Shaw is putting on a show that should bring people back to the TV to watch the next. Especially those not all that familiar with MMA.

You’re way off. Kaitlin Young is going to bring it against Gina. That girl is fuckin’ beast!! I actually expect Gina to try to take her down, just to avoid messing up that pretty face.

Thompson just lost to Brett Rogers and he’s fighting in the main event? Kimbo needs some solid wins, but also some solid challenges. Bo Cantrell, Tank Abbot, & Ray Mercer it’s like c’mon. Give him Antonio Silva or Don Frye, can’t protect his record forever - everyone loses sooner or later.

I don’t care what anyone says. Elite XC just doesn’t have the competition level the UFC has. I’m definitely watching the card but just cause I don’t have anything else better to do unfortunately. The contender at the UFC would plow over Elite XC’s.

My predictions:
Kimbo over Thompson (tko of course)
Lawler over Smith (definite knockout)
Carano over Young (tko seeing their both thai fighters)
Joey over Scott (once again knockout)
Brett over Jon (and sub.. just kidding tko)

There are no wars and no fights where you have no idea who’s going to win or what’s going to happen.

I like EliteXC it is on the way to becoming a SOLID organization.

I think Rogers should be fighting Kimbo… Not to take anything away from Murphy but I am not sure if Rogers is the right choice for him to come off injury against.
Murphy takes out Rogers I will for sure eat my words!

I would say the card gets a B- as of now.

James Thompson? Ridiculous. There’s tougher cupcakes out there for EXC to throw at Kimbo… Why not Brett Rogers? I guess they gotta spread out their “talent” a little bit.

Lawler and Smith will be a good fight, besides the fact that its for a title.

I’ll be watching the event regardless.
