Report: Diaz possibly back on DREAM 3 card
Cesar Gracie called in and talked to T.J. DeSantis on the Sherdog Radio Network this afternoon and said that Nick Diaz may be back on the DREAM 3 card against Katsuya Inoue. According to DeSantis, Gracie had just spoken with a representative from EliteXC who greenlit the fight to take place at DREAM 3.
Unfortunately, however, Gracie told DeSantis that Diaz has gained back a bunch of the weight that he had lost in preparation for the bout and wouldn’t be able to make the weight for the fight. DeSantis said that Gracie was going to talk to representatives from the DREAM organization as soon as possible to see if the fight could take place at a catch weight of 175 lbs.
We’ll keep you posted on the status of Diaz on the DREAM 3 card, so keep it dialed in to FiveOuncesOfPain.com!

WTF

Damn 175?? That really seems high. I wonder how much he weighs right now.

it would be kind of hypocritical of EXC not to allow it after preaching nonexclusive contracts of letting fighters fight.

craziness…

Wait, when was he told he couldn’t compete, and now when was he told he could?
How much weight did he gain and how fast did it happen? Did he get the bad news and load up on chocolate cake or something wtf? That much weight that fast is a little odd, I’m not sure this excuse or whatever you want to call it holds much water.

Given, I just realized that Sunday = Dream 3… so…
Yeah maybe the weight thing makes sense, but still seems like a lot to put on in such a short amount of time. Ah well.

As long as they don’t drug test Diaz should have no problems

Munchies and weight gain are side effects of his medication, or so I hear.

dont worry,, im sure its not pure muscle he has gained

Diaz is massive for 160 I remember reading that he comes into the fights at +180 easily.
I think this fight was at welterweight though so a catchweight at 175 doesn’t seem that extreme.

please let it happen Nick was the main reason i was going to watch.
there is other great fighters on the card though

He must have got the munchies. Lay off the pot and chocolate bars Nick, they’ll get you everytime.
