Arizona State reinstates wrestling program
Posted by Adam MorganWell, that was short lived. According to MMA Weekly, Arizona State University, a recent hotbed for college wrestlers turned mixed martial artists, has reinstated its wrestling program:
It didn’t take long for wrestling supporters to act. Now, just 10 day later, Arizona State wrestling boosters have raised the necessary $8 million in donations to revive the program.
Congrats to the Sun Devils for raising the necessary funds to keep an outstanding wrestling program and tradition going. Take that, Title IX!

Friggin’ extortionists. “Find us funding or the wrestlers take it in the neck.”
Damn those capitalists wanting their programs to turn a profit!
I love capitalists. Every day I strive to be a successful one. But college atheletics are amateur, not professional. And the problem was Title IX, not the wrestling program. Damn the pc horsecrap.
Sadly, this is what it takes to prevent a legit program from becoming another Title IX victim.
I get the feeling that unless something drastic happens, that this is only temporary repreive. Title IX sucks. Until we see schools start adding wrestling programs, amature wrestling in America is in trouble
