Faber vs. Pulver: Get Amped
Posted by Adam MorganThis really is a fight that’s being slept on because it’s been wedged between UFC 84, EliteXC on CBS, and UFC 85 but it could end up being one of the best fights of the entire summer. I like Faber in this fight but you can never count Pulver out. He’s one scrappy fighter with legitimate knockout power and he’s never been beaten at 145 lbs.
Versus has been doing a great job putting together some really good promos to hype the fight so I thought I’d share a couple of them with you here. Saturday with EliteXC on CBS is going to be fun but if you’re a hardcore MMA fan then Sunday is going to be even better. Get amped.

Adam, iam amped (pumped) for this event, 1) im going to the event, and it is a great card and is for free which awesome for MMA fans….. the Elite XC event (which i will watch cuz its MMA plus Lawler v Smith, the true main event), wasnt really ever a must see for me…… Kimbo hey, is who he is and is working hard to one day becoming a complete fighter which i respect but taking on Thompson as the main event common really thats bs (Kimbo is no super hero even though Sam says he is on the same marquee level as Wand , Chuck, and Tyson /jk) but its free MMA yet nowhere close to as good of a card as the WEC card is… and after UFC 84 more MMA is great…. these next 7(+) weeks of MMA are going to be great plus im pretty damn close to the cage this sunday Hells Yeah cheers…….
I don’t think there is a more dynamically adapting fighter in MMA than Faber. In one post fight interview, he said he’s constantly improvising. Watching him against the cage, one leg up and connect with a knee strike says that he’s an exciting fighter who takes risks to better his position. He’s on an awesome title defense streak, never seems panicked and is, with every outing, advancing some aspect of his game.
Way more excited for Faber / Pulver than the Elite show.
I don’t know if this isn’t the best 8 days in MMA ever, though. 2/3 ‘free’ events, all with quality headliners and sensationalism.
This is a great week +1 for MMA.
UFC can easily create a featherweight division, there are obsiously a lot of fans of this weight class. i don’t think there is an MMA fan that wouldn’t want to see this fight. I still think Faber will win, however Jens has never lost at this weight.
