Report: Frankie Edgar to return at UFC 87

According to MMAjunkie.com, lightweight fighter Frankie Edgar will return to the Octagon at UFC 87 on August 9.
An opponent has not been named.
Edgar last competed at UFC Fight Night 13 this past April, where he suffered the first loss of his professional career via unanimous decision against Gray Maynard. The New Jersey-native is 3-1 lifetime in the UFC with wins over Tyson Griffin, Spencer Fisher, and Mark Bocek.
Overall, Edgar is 8-1 lifetime in MMA and holds non-UFC wins over Jim Miller, Deividas Taurosevicius, and Mark Getto.
I THINK THEY SHOULD PIT EDGAR AGAINST SHERK, but i think sherk would destroy him…
Yeah Sherk would eat Edgar, if Edgar had trouble with Gray’s wrestling… Sherk would be all over Edgar the entire time.
At least Sherk wouldn’t have a height advantage, lol. Maynard looked huge compared to Edgar.
Sherk says he wants to fight on this card in his home state and Edgar needs an opponent.
I say let ‘em have at it!

What’s not to like about Edgar. He’s a classy guy who goes out and fights. I say his stand up beats sherk. And it would be a good ground fight
