THIS IS A LIE! It’s true. I watched the video just now. The ref is verY well mic’d. That conversation never happened. I don’t know what the hell is going on but something is rotten in Denmark. POST THE SOUND CLIP ON HERE!!! “Are you okay? You have up to five minutes.” At that point, Scott said “I can’t see out of my eye.” Then at that point Dan said to him “I’m going to call in the doctor to look at you. I’m telling you that if you tell the doctors that you can’t see, they are going to stop the fight.” Dr. Angela Gagliardi went in there first to examine Scott and she said that “He said he could not see.” And then she came back and told me that and I said, “Of course he can’t see, he just got poked in the eye. AT NO POINT DOES ANY CONVERSATION EVEN CLOSE TO THIS TAKE PLACE

She goes up to Scott and asks, “How’s your vision?” He goes, “I can’t see at all.” And she said to him “What do you mean you can’t see?” And he responded “I mean I can’t see.” Next, she said to him, “What does that mean? Is it blurry? Is it fuzzy?” And he goes, “I told you, I can’t see at all. I could get knocked out.” At that point in time she asked “Is your vision improving? After a poke in the eye, your vision should be improving by now.” And Scott said his vision wasn’t improving at all and said “I can’t see.”
AGAIN AT NO POINT DOES THIS TAKE PLACE. WATCH THE VIDEO!! Someone needs to call someone out on this!

Scott did ask for a doc. Dan asked him if he wanted the dr to look at it, he said he did. Stupid on his part. All of the other stuff Lembo quotes must have happened during the replays cuz it’s conveniently not on the sound either, which was left live. This part…..”At that point, Scott said “I can’t see out of my eye.” Then at that point Dan said to him “I’m going to call in the doctor to look at you.” never even happened! I just watched it repeatedly trying to see/hear any of that.

I want an interview w/ Scott to see what is what. I bet it will be the same deal as w/ Kaitlin. The guy is flat out lying to make himself look better. Proof is in the tape.

“The ear” should never have walked into the ring. I thought these guys had to pass pre-fight physicals! Am I to understand that no one even noticed that thing? That was the first thing we saw! At a distance even! Dan was slapped cuz Thompson was rocked out of his mind. It doesn’t even matter if the fight was stopped prematurely or not, the whole night was mostly one disaster after another.

And what about the article that says something like 2 some minutes of fighting in the first 71 minutes of the show? What a joke!

EXC is the WWE of the MMA world. They proved that Saturday. Let all the professional wrestling fans watch EXC because the real MMA fans don’t hold much stock in them anymore, if they ever did in the first place. I hope the real fighters get the hell out of there, and sign w/ a real org, as fast as they can pick up a pen.

The fix is in. EliteXc got to protect all of their “investments”. Says alot about New Jersey. How corrupt and pathetic. I really feel for kaitlin Young. She got robbed of a third round. Win or lose she was cheated bigtime in order to protect EliteXC’s golden girl. My disgust with Gary Shaw is complete. Let them put more sanitized, fixed, shows on CBS, in New Jersey. I will not be watching.

why even have referees and doctors?
why not let young get busted up to pieces?
why not let a fighter who says he cant see go on?
why not let thompson get destroyed on national tv and get stretchered out?
how about fights to the death?

Bas-
He finished with hitting Thompson with a four punch combination with the last one of those being a hard right upper cut. Thompson staggered back and the referee stopped the fight. Was it too soon? I thought it would be great to see a few more shots just so that he was down for real. But I guess the referee had the two or three times that Thompson was hurt in the earlier rounds in his head, plus than he also got hit on his cauliflower ear that busted open and he had a different look in his eyes.

So here we are again. The last time there was criticism of the NJACB a bunch of first time posters came on here and said what great people they all were and how their kids raised baby ducks together for the past 50 years and they were all up for sainthood.

It just makes you all look really, really bad and reinforces every stereotype I have of Jersey.

I respect Bas’s opinion on the matter. That right up seemed to me to be the most honest explanation of Saturday’s fights. Thank you for your honesty and candor Bas. If the NJAC just came out and said we made some mistakes then we probably wouldn’t be having these discussions.

How can Nick Lembo (as legal counsel) say “Those blows were very, very gentle. They were taps, they weren’t doing any damage and there was no reason to stop the fight at that point.” (referring to the unanswered elbows). It wasn’t his head that was being pounded on!
