@#36 I am confused as to what the middle portion of your post means. but I think you are trying to say that you think its ignorant to say someone is a total hottie or has nice boobs are that you’d boink her if you had the chance. I don’t think that’s ignorant. Crass, sure, tactlessly honest, sure, but ignorant? nah. we’re men, we’re hardwired to think like that.

And besides, this is the internet. It’s not like these people are stopping her on the street to tell her THEY WOULD HAVE SEX WITH HER. people say things on the internet about a celebrity that they wouldn’t say to that celebrity in person all the time.

There is a difference between compliments and an ignorant comment. Don’t get me wrong, I am thinking pretty much all the above comments posted, but none of them are compliments. (you know which ones I’m referring to)

I think it’s inconsistent to advocate for women’s MMA on the basis of equality and respect and then talk about them like they’re hoochie dancers in shorty shorts. Maybe it’s a cultural thing, but those kinds of remarks aren’t considered respectful in my neighborhood. All that having been said, people can say what they like on the subject and it makes no difference to me. I just see a disconnect there and made the observation.

You understand neither the logic nor the statement. Put up a post questioning women’s MMA–not as talented or capable as their male counterparts– and you’ll be labelled ignorant or sexist. Put up a post talking about the size of Carano’s breasts, or stating that you want to have sex with her–see above–and nobody suggests that’s ignorant or sexist. I find that incongruous.

I’m still trying to understand the logic behind what you just said. Are you attempting to say that a person cant a) be attracted to a fighter and b) appreciate the skill and technique of that fighter despite the fact that they are a woman? I mean, by your logic, no female (or gay dude I suppose) could ever both think a fighter is hot, and also appreciate that he is a badass.

I think your problem is that your all hung up on feminism. You don’t have to be a bitchy feminist (or unattracted to chicks) to think women should be able to try any sport they want to.

My left cheek and area surrounding the eye are looking pretty ugly today, but there was no major damage. Though it may have looked like it on tv, I never actually had an open wound.

What you didn’t see was that the doctor actually cleared me to fight the third round but the commission said “no”. I wanted to continue, my corner wanted to continue. The cut likely would have opened in the third but it was under the eye. If I had to guess, I would say that they didn’t want the visual of a woman with a bloody face on CBS.

They also chose not to do a post fight interview with me or to include me in the post fight news conference and after party. I think the reason for that was my beat up appearance after the fight because I was not seriously injured and was completely coherent.

I am very disappointed about that but cant help but wonder how people would have responded to that, as stupid as it is.
