The Kawajiri-Alvarez matchup is what I expected for the final…I really like Alvarez but won’t be surprised 1 bit if Kawajiri wins this by Decision or early stoppage.

Kawajiri last faced a striker the calibre of Alvarez in Gomi…and in the nearly 30 months he’s grown alot….but now is the time to prove that he’s truly elite… a title is definitely possible for him if he survives this test.

Jacare controlled the entire first 10 minutes and dictated the fight. Nice job by Mayhem to not get subbed, but hanging on, does not win you the fight. Miller did better in the last 5 minutes, landing a couple of decent strikes, but nothing devastating and then got controlled again for half the round. Even if you broke it into 3 rounds, Jacare would have won 30-27 or perhaps 29-28 at worst. As it is judged on the entire fight, it wasn't even close.
