That’s the word according to Fighters Only Magazine:
Highly-touted British welterweight Hardy is apparently being pencilled in for the event, which is allegedly heading for the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, UK.
The aborted fight between UK MMA superstar Michael Bisping and Chris Leben, originally intended for UFC 85 in London last weekend, is also rumoured to be on the card.
I, for one, am very excited to see Dan Hardy inside the Octagon. A rematch between he and Yoshiyuki Yoshida would be a fight that makes sense considering how the last fight between the two ended, although that may be throwing one or the other to the wolves too soon. A matchup with someone from the fifth season of TUF in order to get Dan Hardy over with the fans seems much more likely.
I’m also glad that the UFC is looking to make the Leben vs. Bisping match actually take place instead of scrapping it altogether (Shogun vs. Chuck anyone?). It’s a fight that is extremely intriguing because Leben has a chin of granite, heavy hands, and a highly underrated ground game. It will be a very good test to see how far Bisping has actually come at the 185 lbs. division.
