Hey Adam, good article. I think that Jesse Taylor is the equivalent of a high school kid mentally that is struggling to stay academically eligible for the football team. You referenced Kendall Grove and how the life style in Vegas did him no good. I have never heard anything about that. What happened with Grove? Tell me more….

Wow, the whole story is much worse than what I saw on Spike.
I have seen my friends get completely out of control when they get drunk, doing stupid things they would have never done sober. Sadly, these friends are bipolar, and they should never drink alcohol because they react differently than the average person from it.
I think if Jesse can quit drinking cold turkey, and even have the willpower to say no when he gets famous and he is the vip of the party and everyone else is drinking, then he will have my respect and support of being in the u.f.c.

Maybe he can come back with a zero tolerance policy in him, I think we all make mistakes that change us and we have to learn from, hopefully same goes for Jesse.

Adam the kid knows how to act….he just doesn’t how to handle his alcohol.

If Jesse doesn’t drink alcohol he’ll be just fine. I think he’s one of those binge drinkers that doesn’t know how to control himself when he start drinking.

I get the same way alot of the times when I drink hard liqour….that’s why I don’t drink hard liqout out in public. Jesse needs to know how to control his urge to drink.

He’s doing AA Meetings so he on the right track.

Most people know how to act. I’ve been to Vegas as well and didn’t see anyone getting threatened with tazers or pepper spray. Obviously Vegas has seen worse, but the kid just doesn’t know how to act.

I know Jesse. I think Dana was absolutely correct when he was questioning how Jesse’s behavior would be if he was famous. I can’t count the number of times I heard him say throughout the airing of the show, “I am a professional.” He knew that he had been kicked out yet still had this attitude.

Also, I have seen him drinking. If you are in AA, you don’t drink. At all. Not “just a beer.”

Dana HAD to do this. This is exactly the type of fighter that is coming through the ranks right now and will ruin this great sport. Sadly, smaller promotions don’t have the power that the UFC has and some of these meatheads will work their way through.

Unlike Traditional Martial Arts and most of the top BJJ schools a lot of the MMA gyms I have seen lately these days don’t teach the true discipline because they try and retain students who want to learn “how to kick someones ass and break an arm”. The belt systems were created to weed these douche bags out and create a hierarchy and goals.

Without it – the Jesse Taylor, Melvin Goulard, ect. is what you get.

Ok, I’ll step off my soapbox now.

Pretty shocking behavior, particularly in a quiet little community like Las Vegas. I’m sure the locals have never witnessed anything like that. Why, when I was there it was nothing but churches, senior centers and picket fences. It’s proof of Taylor’s poor character that he was able to get into trouble in such an upright city. He needs to straighten up and get back to all the church meetings and choir practices that the UFC has for its fighters.

I’m not shocked by Taylor’s behavior at all. He’s a typical drunken frat boy meathead.

What I’m really surprised by are all the UFC fans who say things like, “well, he seems like a good guy…”

No, he doesn’t. He seems like a athletically gifted moron, who probably thinks being able to beat someone up means is the way to solve arguments.
