Seriously, could this guy be any classier? I hope he takes over the division for as long as he wants to fight. God, a matchup with Silva would be soooo awesome. Talk about classic striker vs. BJJ (I know silva has a black belt too, but he’s a muay thai guy). Good stuff.
i was AMAZED by Almeida’s return to the UFC.. this guy is awesome.. and it seems that he’s not thinking too much of Lutter/Cote, and he’s giving Cote credit for his ground game [which i'd say consists of simple takedowns and staying in guard], but, i say we’re just going to see Lutter/Cote II in this one.. Almeida, sub [triangle], r1
I can see almeida trying standup and then going for ground only to eat a fist as he is going down…this will send him into a world of pain and anxiety as he realizes that he has been knocked out by a Frenchie…Vive la France!!!!! Renzo Gracie will become known as Renzo Disgracie and Ricardo will have to leave the US because he will be in the same shoes as Jorge Gurgel….getting KO’d by some chump when the armbar should have worked….ahhhh…the joys of MMA…Fire Dana White!!!! Rogan Vs. Goldberg!!!!!
Actually, both these guys are good but not good enough for Anderson Silva…he needs to fight someone that doesn’t feel pain, has hands like 100 lb weights and is on some untraceable drug that keeps him awake no matter what!!!!! Do you know anyone??????
Good luck to both…regardless of outcome it will be a good fight and no disrespect to the Francais…it just sounded like a good line to write…

This guy has the tools to beat Anderson Silva.
Not that he will, but on a good night, he could.
I expect him to make quick work of Cote via arm-bar or triangle from guard.

I train at his gym (in hamilton, nj) He is a world -class person. So unassuming, and will be a crown jewel for jiu-jitsu in the country soon.

Professor Almeida is an awesome guy, excellent teacher and a great fighter.
I like Cote, but I have to go with Almeida on this one.
And i agree that this is the type of fighter that COULD beat Anderson, if anyone can, lol.
