if shogun has peaked and lost his career due to a knee, that’s too bad. that really doesn’t change the validity of rampage’s statement. in any case it doesn’t matter. there’s not a transitive property of fighter a beats b, who can therefore beat c. the odds favor rampage for a good reason. i want to see rampage win because he’s both better and more entertaining and griffin is just boring. i don’t see forrest being able to outwrestle if hendo couldn’t, outbox (even forrest admits he doesn’t have the striking power rampage has), or submit rampage so it’s pretty much the odd lucky strike that could swing things to a win for him. perhaps fatigue in the 5th round and a lucky strike.

Its funny how many people have obviously never seen Shogun fight before he was clearly in horrible shape and gassed after 3 mins. ‘A blown out knee is no excuse’ lol having your knee ligaments torn to shreds is just about the best excuse there is for fighting like crap, how exactly was Shogun supposed to train for that fight? I don’t care what anyone says Shogun was clearly less than 70% fit for that fight and honestly given the injuries he’s picked up he may never be close to 100% again! Forrest is a good fighter and I like him but the Shogun of 3 years ago would’ve kicked his ass!

love the disagreements, this should make for a good match and can’t wait for the fight. That’s the only way to settle the arguments. In this sport anyone can win, thats why they fight.

Have any of you doubters even seen Shogun fight? He was DEFINATELY not himself, and there are no excuses as to why, but he wasn’t just the same. He is much more vicious and explosive than in that fight with Forrest gump.

As far as Forrest’s chin goes, I wouldn’t say it was good or bad. He’s got a lot of guts and came keep coming forward when he’s tagged, but we have no idea how he’ll fare against guys that hit really hard (Rampage, Liddell, Wandy). He went down against Jardine. That could be more of a fluke than par for the course but we’ll have to see. He’d be crazy to trade with Rampage, who will KO him if he does. But Forrest is very smart, he’ll stay away from brawling with him.

Forrest is solid enough not to be called chinny (like no one would tag GSP that even though Serra caught him) but I wouldn’t dream of calling his chin legendary. You can’t go from suspect to legendary unless you take an Ali like beating vs. Foreman and then come back for the win.

Hell, maybe Forrest will do that. Or maybe he’ll get dropped like a sack of potatoes.

Dude. Watch the fight again. Shogun got his ass whipped and tapped with less than 20 seconds left. Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

“Brutally exposed?” Meaning that all the punishment Griffin took in previous fights was fakery? Lighting and camera tricks? Throttle back on the hyperbole.
