@#11 Probably because Griffin only has two KO's on his record, and the Sinosec KO, while he definitely was winning the standup, wasn't exactly a knockout, it was just a knockdown. But your point is a good one. I also think Rampage will clinch and take this to the ground if Forrest's reach proves to be too big an advantage. We might even see one of the oldskool Rampage slams.

?

I don't know why all the contributors to this website and some of the other's I've been reading are saying Rampage's standup is hands-down better than Griffin's. Forest has some good boxing technique and his jab with those long arms is a very good. He likes to throw those combo's then dance out of range.

If this was a 3-round fight he could very easily pepper Rampage from outside for 3 rounds and get enough points for the decision. (Not to mention throwing in a Couture-schooled surprise takedown every once in a while!)

Granted, in 5 rounds Rampage will get the opportunity to finish Forest and I'm picking Rampage to win, but I'd say Forest's standup is equal to Rampage's, and if Forest can stay off his back he'll be in this fight until the end.

I'd say Rampage has to be looking to take this fight to the ground at some point.

"Gary Herman: "I wouldn’t be surprised if Almeida gets a title shot after submitting Cote in three minutes".

No need to be surprised as Dana has already said they will get a shot after Silva/Okami at 88

"No one - absolutely no one - gameplans better for a fight than Couture"

He gameplans for himself, yes, but has never been some wunderkind for other fighters. Whereas, that's all Juanito does, so that argument is seriously lacking.

Forrest via low kick leg break. J/k.

"Forrest Griffin and Rampage Jackson are somewhat similar fighters. They are both looking to stand. Neither is looking to be overly technical, and neither is likely to lock in a submission"

Who are you talking about, Quinlin Rampage Johnson and Forrest Gump? Rampage is one of the most technical of strikers next to A Silva and Forrest's only way to win is via sub. BTW, QRJ has only been submitted once, by Saku, in a fight we all know the BS behind, unless you started watching MMA at TUF 2.

QRJ by Slam then GnP round uno.

Forrest > Rampage : No Japanese women to power up Page

Almeda > Cote: By whatever he wants, whenever he wants

Maximus > Tyson: Submission, 1st round. Tyson should drop to 145.

Tibau > Daddy: 'Daddy' is the most overrated guy ever? Wins over Guillard and Pellegrino and Guillard and makes u a title challenger? WTF. Guess Nate Diaz should expect his shot at BJ soon.

Kos > Lytle: Kos is better....I got nothing..

All the prelims are crap. Hope Gonzaga worked on his cardio and actually has a decent fight.
