ANYONE KNOW OF ANY SPORTS BAR OR CLUB GETTING THIS PPV? The hooters here and bw3′s isn’t carrying it. In fact they haven’t even heard of it, which makes me wonder if they would of carried it if it wasn’t showing the UFC fight or not. Any comments about this subject!

Yeah, Arlovski was very cautious in his last UFC fights. Maybe he’ll have more intensity now that he’s not worried about whether he’ll keep his UFC gig. Hope so.

I’m not sure if Rothwell is able to go 3 rounds though.

I dont think he will win the fight if it goes past the 1st round. He’s won the majority of his fights in the first round and I think that’s the biggest factor in this fight with the pitbull.

#2 Mike, I would have thought the same thing from Andrei like four fights passed but he’s become almost an exclusive striker, I doubt he’ll try to take him down. I wish he would though, I miss the old Andrei.

I’m also picking Rothwell based on “intangibles”, namely that he seems to have a fearless streak like Fedor and is very, very tough. Ben by UD, or maybe he’ll even pound out Andrei.

I think the reason I’m not as excited by this card as most hardcores seem to be is that I’m not mesmerized by the HWs. Outside of a few very skilled HWs that are athletic, multidimensional, and polished, there are quite a few slugs above 205 lbs. This is pretty well-evidenced by the lack of top-ranked lb-for-lb HWs. I’d much rather watch a show dedicated to LWs or WWs, where sheer size is much less of a factor.

Interesting analysis, but I question the pick of Rothwell over Arlovski. I’ve only seen Rothwell on IFL pre-HDnet (damn you, Comcast), but he didn’t have a ground game that I could see. Arlovski could take him down quickly and submit him like he did Sylvia, whose stand up is better than Rothwell’s, imo. Gotta go with the Pitbull on this one.

Several of the fighters were training at No Limits in Irvine the last few days.
Negao looked good and is working his stand-up with Colin Oyama and sparring with Rob Emerson, Shane DelRosario and Bao Quach. Joe Riggs and Ed Dewees were also training their jiu jitsu with Negao, J-Roc and Giva Santana. Negao was also wrestling with alot of the HW and was holding his own.
