I am looking forward to the jake shields vs nick thompson fight. It will be a good fight considering nick thompson gave Eddie Alvarez the beating of his life. On the other hand Jake Shields did beat Yushin Okami who is ranked 6th in his division. I think it will be the fight of the night, because Scott smith is a can.

A couple of things that should be different this time- 1. lose the tacky dancers (strippers) as if people watching can’t see sexy women on T.V., the internet etc. 2. get rid of the rap or hip hop B.S. 3. less time between fights(obviously) 4. shorten the WWE “long walk- entrance” of the fighters. 5. show more celebrities in attendance ( this broadens the T.V. audience who are new to MMA and gives credibility)

I guarantee their market share will decrease if at least some of the above are not present this time. Also their “fight of the year” possibilty–slim to none and slim just left town.

It’s a shame that they couldn’t put Bigfoot on the CBS card – I mean with all the hoopla surrounding Kimbo -you would think that EliteXC (gary shaw or whoever is pulling the strings now) would want to promote what would be Kimbo’s biggest “test” (even though personally Kimbo would get stomped) and leave John Q. Public salivating at the opportunity to see that fight later on down the road.
