It's been planned already AND remember, they were expecting the ratings on present one, it's summer and most of the shows last saturday went down in ratings. Plus CBS didn't promote as much. Given those the card wasn't unsuccessful really. It was a great card. Lots of work went into it. DeLuca and the fight team heard the fans and also pull together a great event. The next one will be actually way higher in ratings than the very first one. Mark my words. The seeds have been planted already. The direction has been taken. It's up to the fight and production team to continue moving in the direction they planned for. the october show will better. Pros : 2 major stars to the casual fan, a handful of fighters with MMA purist cred, and Showtime/CBS deals Cons: no depth at any weight class, needs to develop more stars that can headline ASAP, and that whole "debt" thing they have to take care of. DeLuca continues to be a founder member and was part of the decision making process that resulted in the resignation of not only Shaw, bu also other founding members such as Brendlinger and Marshall. Giving way to the team that should and could bring the company to the next level. When ProElite was formed, they knew they were going to take a loss in order to get to the space. I got to meet Shaw and thought he was an alright guy. I never really understood where all the bile for him came from? He put his own money on the line to try and better the sport. He brought MMA to regular TV. I can't help but wonder if people hate him just because he doesn't shave his head and drop 20 F-Bombs per hour?
