Jolly, i didn’t really think it was fixed.. i will never think an MMA bout was fixed.. that was just a bad expression of my emotions..

but, clearly, in the replays after the fight ended, you see a part where Miura’s throwing punches and just falls, without getting punched or tripped or anything, and Condit just drops on him, and squirms his way easily into mount..

and aside from that one, it happened two other times i believe..

Condit took this guy a little light. great fight though. Condit needs to stick in the WEC for a while.

I think condit would fit better in the 185 lb division, he is too skinny for 170 because he is 6 foot 2.

Could Condit compete( not on purpose) in the Ufc. Sure he could. My point is he would only be mid level at best in the Welterweight division. I break it down for you.
1 Gsp would destroy him
2 Fitch would dominate him
3 Koscheck would own him
4 Alves would bang him out.
5 Hughes would finish him
6 Had real problems with those Judo throws so Parisyan would punish him
7 Chris Lylte would defeat him.

Every fight but the Grispi fight was top notch. If that fight wouldn’t have had that shitty stoppage that fight would have been a war as well. Both those fighters are very atypical style of fighters, it would have been fun to watch. Still this card (at least the televised portion) was unbelievable.

I don’t know what the WEC feeds these guys but their cards end up being ridiculously awesome. I know they are owned by Zuffa but the WEC is giving the UFC a run for it’s money. The production value (in HD) was great. The sound is great, the commentary is so money (not annoying), it’s free, the fights time after time are great (legendary, Faber/Pulver, Condit/Muira, Torres/Maeda (my favorite this year))!

Where can we view the undercard?

I guess we didn’t watch the same fight because I never saw Miura fall to the ground and let Condit mount him.

I think the stoppage was ok. Both fighters were exhausted. They fought hard. I don’t see how you thought it was “fixed or something..” nor do I understand how you can say that, then follow it with a shout of “GREAT NIGHT OF FIGHTS”.

Great fights. Miura gave Condit the toughest fight of his career. I think Condit could compete in UFC, but he’d face fighters of Miura’s caliber more frequently. One of the best fights this year, imo.

ya, sam, but he’s only on the ground/not complaining because he lost his gas in the 2nd, and it ended in the 4th.. i’m sure HE’s not mad about the stoppage.. but there was plenty of better times to stop it during that fight, and he didn’t.. so to stop it there was stupid to me.. plus, a good look at the clock would’ve inclined josh to let it go a little longer..

i know Condit’s good.. but, frankly, i wanted him to lose.. but, that’s not why i thought it was a bogus stoppage.. stopping it when Miura was mounted/side mounted taked repeated elbows and strikes to the face, that’s a justified stoppage, but when Miura’s holding on to Carlos’ leg trying to wait out the round?? that’s garbage..

i think a rematch is only right, seeing as how there’s only one other WW that can challenge Carlos anyway..
give Miura one fight.. give Larson the Condit fight..
when Condit wins, give Miura the rematch..

that’s how i see it..

i still don’t understand why every time Miura started to get the upperhand on the feet, he just fell to the ground and LET Condit mount him.. it’s like this crap is fixed or something..

Wow, the Condit/Miura fight was good! I thought Miura was finished, then I thought he had it in the bag, then back to Condit almost ending it, and so on….I can’t wait to see Miura fight again.

Enjoyed all the fights. Nice job WEC.
