UFC 87 Video: Dana White’s UFC 87 Video Blog w/ Rampage Jackson
Dana White has been doing a video blog in the days leading up to UFC 87 and this is the third installment of that series. Parts one and two can be found here. It’s interesting to note that Rampage is with Dana at around the 3:30 mark and seems to be in very good spirits, even joking about his “delirium.” He says he’s back to training, has new trainers, and is preparing to get back into the Octagon. Perhaps things aren’t as bad as we previously thought? Also, does anyone find it extremely ironic that Dana White is blogging, even if it is in video form?
HT: Bloody Elbow

I can not tell you how happy I am to see that Rampage is not crazy. I am truly excited to learn that he is going to be ok and will be back in the cage.

well, hopefully Rampage is getting the help he needs and isn’t blowing off what happened with him. if he was in a mental health facility as long as he was i have to think he is accepting health (i don’t know laws by state, but if it is a voluntary walk-in to a facility he can leave when he wants to)
and yes, i thought the Dana vidoe logging or whatever it is called was weird. I was wondering if it has something to do with the Fertitta brother working more day to day UFC things, maybe Dana was asked not to be in the media as much. Just seems like more than a coincidence that the administative structure of the UFC changes and Dana’s exposure changes

Yeah it’s good to see Rampage acting his old ways. I hope like the above poster said he’s getting things right and not blowing them off.
I also hope to see more dana blogging.

It is definitely good to see Rampage with his wits about him. I really hope he is getting better, and for his sake, I hope he did not cause harm to that poor woman’s baby.
I know it is probably a PR requirement, but throughout this situation, Dana White has genuinely seemed to care about Rampage. I hope he continues to look out for Rampage’s best interests.
Mo, I don’t know if I think Lorenzo Fertitta would order Dana White to start doing publicity. I’m not sure Dana would stick around if his role was to change to becoming Lorenzo’s b*tch. Dana could easily cash out his stake and walk away set for life, and without the headache. Although, they may have sat down and discussed Dana being less antagonistic to the loyal internet audience that MMA has. Maybe it will make him more accessible. Too bad they probably don’t realize that the fickle internet fanbase will damn him no matter what decisions he makes, or how much he panders to them. Oh well.

Why is it Rampage gets the moral boost? Why is there not a call for punishment when due? His act was clearly unbecoming of a professional athlete & out of line as a citizen of the community. I hope the time, and/or fine, is fitting of the crime. Rampage need not be given the privilege to drive & compense those who were the real victims…

Dana White blogging & Brett Farve comes to the Jets on the same day ?
Either I’m about to wake up from some really strange dream or the Apocalypse is here. Either way, I’m terrified.

Well, we have to admit that video blogging is becoming a very big thing, and also this is Zuffa’s attempt to rehabilitate Rampage’s image.
We all wish Rampage well, but I also have to wonder if his watch will not have to be sold to pay for legal bills in the future, regardless of this video blog. Lets hope that everything works out on all fronts.
