   I don’t think this makes sense, he won’t get a title shot if he doesn’t sign a new contract after this fight. I don’t think he is willing to sign a new contract so it doesn’t make sense that he still thinks he is going to get a title shot. I really like Huerta and wish him luck in any org he joins but he shouldn’t have talked trash publicly and now he won’t back down so I don’t think he’ll be getting a title shot. If he beats Florian they will feed him to Sherk.

   I’m guessing that he won’t sign a new contract with the UFC unless they guarantee him a title shot should he defeat Florian.

   He’s still got one fight on his contract after the Florian fight so depending on how he does against Florian they will probably discuss his contract after that. I really like Huerta and I was originally going with him for the win but now I’d like Florian to beat him. I just don’t think he’ll re-sign with the UFC if he beats Florian and the only other Org that is worth him going to is DREAM where Aoki, JZ, Caol, Jaochim and the rest will lay a beat down on him.

   Huerta’s out of his mind…

   he wants a title shot?
   who has he beaten?

   Jason Dent? Halverson? Garcia? Evans? CRANE???

   i mean, with the exception of Halverson [who just layed down and died for him] Huerta had big problems with every one of these guys.. AND I DIDN’T EVEN MENTION GUIDA.. Guida mopped the floor with Huerta, until he got caught by some miracle knee..

   I’d say Roger’s got good skills, but bottom line is, he’s gotta fight more guys, correction: top guys, to get a shot at the belt..

   when there’s guys out there like:

   Tyson Griffin - who has a four fight win streak that holds the likes of Guida, Tavares, Tibau, and Aurelio [although none of the victories were impressive, IMO]

   or

   Sean Sherk - who will beat ANY LW you put in front of him [except for BJ ]

   or

   Frank Edgar - who dominates just about all of his opponents start to finish.. AND THEY’RE ALL BIG NAMES.. Spencer Fisher, Hermes Franca, Tyson..

   i’m sure the list of more deserving fighters goes on and on but i’m really having a brain fart right now..

   Huerta is a whiney baby who complains about only getting 50 bucks for flying first class to a scheduled talk show venue or to sign some UFC materials for fans, all the while he is promoting himself to sponsors that pay him huge bucks.

   And he will likely lose to Florian, and should have lost to Guida, had Clay not run into his knee by being over-eager.

   Huerta will not get a shot at the champion, as he will not win against Florian, and he will not sign his contract…either.
