It’s a PR thing with the video blog, I like it cause it ‘s cool to see is life behind the prduction and the fights.. Maybe Lorenzo told him to clean up his public percerption of him…

Paddiosf, that’s exactly what it is. He comes off as a great guy in those blogs.
You can tell though that he’s dreading this Lesnar fight, cause he’s of the belief that Heath will beat Brock. Good news is that if Heath does win, you have a star that beat a known name. If Brock stops Herring, you go with the “This guy stopped a fighter our champ needed a decision to beat in the octagon” campaign.

yeah, if brock loses i’m gonna have to sit down and talk to him, meaning renegotiate his contract for less money or be cut. Because they aren’t gonna pay him 250k to go out there and lose all the time. If he does get cut though you know he’s elite xc bound and making his debut on cbs in october barring injury.

I think if Brock loses they give him the option of being cut, taking a very large pay cut, or they negotiate with him and put him on TUF for a season.

Dana White will wish he had more confidence in Brock when he wins saturday. I hope brock gives Dana a talk and punches him in the face after he wins his fight.

if brock loses and still makes more money than most other fighters who win, I imagine there will be a number of people wanting to sit down and talk to Dana.
return on investment?
and please, lord, no to him coaching TUF.

It’ll also be interesting to see how the Huerta v Dana relationship evolves over time, because at first glance Huerta is going to be another chest beating athlete fighting for better pay and conditions over the long haul.
How many good fighters will pack up and leave before the penny drops?
Even GSP couldn’t wear his affliction stuff tonight which is a tough break.. and would more than likely hurt his pocket in one way or another.

IIRC, for the Hughes or Serra fight, GSP had plain black trunks on and when asked about it at the post-fight, he said Affliction paid him not to have any other sponsors and Dana joked about how he got his plug in.

Dana would never put him as a coach on TUF! He hasn’t the experience to train others, he’s only been training himself for 2 and a half years. If he loses, which I think he will, he’ll take a pay cut and stay with the UFC.
Maybe 100/125k a fight. Still more than enough imo.

damn, this guy even takes a swipe at his boss. saying sarcasticly “oh it was lorenzo’s idea, i can’t wait for the next one.” complete disrespect for the boss. one of those blogs shows Lorenzo training throwing some decent kicks. i’d love to see one land right on the side of dana’s bald, ego inflated head.

I think he meant on TUF as a competitor.

nichole/JJ Docker – When I made the comment about him being on TUF for a season, I meant as a guy living in the house and competing for a spot in UFC. TUF is due to have a season of HWs, and UFC could use the influx of young talent in that division. I also imagine that it would take a large bonus for Lensar to agree to that, because even with two losses he could still make more than the TUF winner contract else where.
This all being said I think Lensar wins when he mounts Herring and the ref stops it in the 1st rd.

dana = godfather of MMA
i hope brock has developed enough to win tonight. his solid wrestling background, natural athleticism, crushing strength and amazing speed for 265, could be a serious issue for the heavyweight division.
i’d love to see him crush fedor someday
