Learned a few basics and recieved more then a fortunate break to fight for a living in national T.V – Now he relizes hes way over his head! Why doesn’t everyone really take a look at this situation!!! If I am the world champion….why do I need to prove myself again and fight Diaz when he hasn’t proven anything his last two fights were pathetic, Diaz was out of shape and couldn’t catch his breath towards the end of his last fight and before that he was over weight for the previous fight!!!! Thats an athlete?!?!?! Not in my eyes!!! Jared Shaw is a made the 160lb class so that Diaz could win, well the under estimated Noons and he kicked Diaz ass look at the pictures!!!!! KJ kas nothing to prove if you want him to fight JARED SHAW STOP BEING A PUSSY AND PAY THE GUY IS MONEY!!!! You obviously are a poor business man. And the fact your “employers” allowed the DIAZ family in the ring after NOONS’ fight was in poor taste, if you watch the videos NATE DIAZ was being a bitch and talking shit to Mr Noons…..then threw a bottle which luckily didnt hit anyone’s in NOONS’ corner….and the DIAZ BROTHERS RAN AWAY!!!! I HOPE SHAW WAKES UP AND REALIZES THE ATHLETE HE HAS IN NOONS ….PAY HIM THE MONEY AND NOONS WILL KICK DIAZ’S ASS AGAIN!!!!!!

I’ve said this before and will say it here. I like the way this guy is forcing KJ to step up. But if you watch this guy (Jared Shaw aka Gary Shaw’s son) in action, you cant but help and see that he reminds you of a slimy snake oil salesman. Last time he was on Inside MMA with Kimbo, you never saw such fawning and man love for a fighter than you did with him and Kimbo. It even looked like it made some of the other guys a wee bit uncomftable.Also if you watch after Kimbo’s last fight, Jared was one of the first ones in the cage rushing over to ol Kimbo, and he was definitely worried. I would be willing to wager he is one of the reasons why Kimbo is getting fed cans if not the main reason. O well, what fun.

Something like this really shows how shallow the EliteXC fight pool is. If you combine the lack of talent the promotion has, how shaky their business model is, how bad they need that Oct 4th show to succeed, and how stressed they are financially, they need ALL THE HELP they can get with this show….including a big Noons/Diaz fight. They literally have no other options.

Noons needs to get his head on striaght….not the right fight? It’s either this fight for a decent payday and exposure or fighting as a bottom feeder in the UFC after Elitexc goes out of business.

It is kind of funny though because it shows the level of panic at Elitexc. CroCop was doing the same thing after a couple losses and it wasn’t really brought up much, unless White was asked. Elitexc can’t get ahold of their champ, and the VP goes out to the media and throws a hissy fit. Rightfully so though, given their situation.

For the “greater good” of EXC, Noons should take this bout. His only other option would be to request a fight against Eddie Alvarez. Problem is that Eddie wants to fight Hellboy Hanson before the year is up.

I hope KJ ends up fighting Nick on 10/4/08. It would a good fight to say the least. EXC needs all the help they can get right now.

Now you know why the UFC holds these guys under contract.

If, say BJ Penn suddenly decided he didn’t want to fight a certain fight, and Dana White and the Fertitta bros agreed that the fight would be good for both money and the sport, he would probably HAVE to fight it, or lose the title and possibly his contract would be null and void.

Now in this new world of “Free agents” that everyone seems to be lauding, you can’t blame fighters for pretty much saying “Screw you, I want to fight someone who I haven’t fought recently” and they have the right and power to do so.

Good or bad, both situations exist. You decide for yourself which you like better.

This whole thing is probably about money. Noon’s agent wants more money to fight Diaz again because it’s going to be a big draw, and on CBS. This will work itself out.

i’m trying to resist the urge to pass judgement on noons before i find out the facts but it does look very suspiciously like he’s running scared.

this is the perfect fight for noons right now; there are obvious question marks regarding the first fight- nick diaz is a very slow starter and there’s nothing in my mind that tells me he couldnt have gone on and won that fight if they’d allowed it to continue- he’s proved he can do this time and time again. if noons takes this fight and wins decisively then his stock goes sky high.

there is a huge contingent who believe a focussed diaz will dismantle noons so what an opportunity for noons to prove us wrong and deliver a fight of the year candidate.

oh and fightfan; it’s not always who deserves a title shot but which fight will provide ratings, and lets face it; elite xc are desperate for a big show this october.

krazy horse needs to get back in there and fight diaz. alvarez fights noons. berto fights cobrey. winner of diaz/bennett fights winner of berto cobrey. that winner fights winner of alvarez/noons. but who cares? that’s in a perfect world, and elitexc’s world is FAR from perfect. out of biz by mid ’09!

So fightfan, how did Noons earn his shot at Diaz anyway then? his single win over Edson Berto, following being KO’ed by Krazy horse? that 1-1 record in EXC is what earned him that shot against Diaz? Then I certainly don’t see why Diaz hasn’t earned a rematch (following that lame-duck win via cut) by his victory over Corbrey. It’s not like Edson Berto has ever beaten anyone who matters.

Why is Diaz so DESERVING of a rematch????? Cumbrey and Denny he has wins over???? And deserves another title shot??? How the hell did he become top contender???? Are ther THREE MEMBERS in teh 160 lb division(Cumbrey, Denny and Diaz????). Really, how about fighting Berto or Yves edwards.

I know the Shaws designed a weight class around Diaz and basically ask how high when he comes a calling. The Shaws are such a joke and have no business being in mma promotions. is that how you treat a title holder???? Maybe there are reasons. We are ONLY hearing the loudmouths(Shaw) side of things here
