He's fought off a few black belts and his hands (and legs) are honed weapons. I can't wait for that fight, it's going to be an all out war. Obviously being biased I'm pulling for Makowski as I train Muay Thai under him. But i still firmly believe he is the better fighter. He's more calculated as opposed to Apple's agro style. Kind of like the Florian/Huerta match-up. Similar temperments when fighting. It's gonna be a fun one! :) Sam, I know you know Matt too, he’s no slouch on the ground either. Apple is a strong wrestler, but if he doesn't get the fight to the ground, I don't see him being able to hang with Matt in the standup. He just needs to keep his combos brief and compact so that he doesn't give Apple too big of an opening for a takedown. But Matt is great all-around so I wouldn't count him out on the ground either.
