It’ll be interesting to see how long term Affliction’s business plan is. I have a sneaky suspicion that they won’t pull in the same numbers as before, but I’m hoping they’re prepared for that. There was a certain novelty factor (Fedor) with the first show, but now…
…anyway, I just hope Ozzy remembers he has a gig that day.

Dude this is sweet! Arlovski and Ozzy! I’ll be buying this ppv! I like how Affliction has bands for more entertainment value. Quit hatin’ just because it isn’t the UFC!

I really don’t see this PPV doing half the numbers. None of the fights are really all that compelling besides the main event and the card isn’t strong at all. I was a critic of the first card saying that the fighters were great but the match ups weren’t. This card doesn’t have half the talent as the first and it seems that Affliction really wants to just wants to sell their “Lifestyle”.

Its great some people are so passionate about Ozzy but Affliction needs to realize most people could not care less and are annoyed by such side shows. MMA is a sport.

Patrick – Fedor isn’t a draw at all in North America. Tim Sylvia was the guy bringing in *any* of the ppv buys as he’s a known commodity.
They’ll probably have more ppv buys if they keep promoting Arlovski as he’s a more known guy then Fedor, Barnett and most of the guys that they have signed.

Sorry B-Diddy, Big Tim was not the draw at all, the draw was most definitely Fedor. Fedor was the draw because he was hyped big, and people started throwing around the name more often and people who hadn’t seen him compete wanted a chance to. Everyone’s seen Tim fight, nobody likes how he fights, I can almost assuredly say in all honesty that Fedor, not Tim was the draw for Afflictions inaugural event.

Please stop with the old out-of-date Rockers. Sure Ozzy is a legend but the legitimacy of your product is already in question. He will not bring more or less PPV buys.

Looking forward to Arlovski – Barnett, but I fear that if Arlovski takes it I may never get to see the Barnett vs Fedor Match i have been hoping for. I think Barnett may be the man with the best chance to take fedor due to size, wrestling, and the fact that his catch wrestling is something very difficult for Fedor to emulate in training. I still think Fedor would likely try to keep the fight standing and win that way, but on the ground I think Barnett has an advantage.
If this fight stays standing, then Arlovski has a solid shot at a KO, but I feel that barnett is too smart for that, will stay tight, and eventually take down the pitbull. Barnett by GnP, or odd sub.

B-Diddy, to be honest with you I have followed MMA (moreso UFC in the beginning) since the airing of the TUF 1. I had never watched Fedor fight. I had heard the rumors and the hype but never chose to youtube the guy or anything. To see him take out Tim Sylvia so quickly was pretty freaking awesome. I don’t care much for Tim Sylvia but I believe that everyone should respect his stand up. Fedor walked right through him. I’m a fan. I will buy the Affliction pay per views as long as they have known fighters or until they for some reason decide to call it quits. Tim may be a little of a Pay Per View draw but I think Fedor is the most marketable fighter in their organization right now. Arlovski sitting at a very close 2nd most marketable. This is coming from a huge Arlovski fan.
