What THORAZINE meant, Sam, was that Anderson Silva might not retire as soon as he turns 35. He was suggesting that he could retire just before he turns 36, as this would obviously still be retiring at 35. This is beacuse Soares said “when he is 35″; not when he turns 35.
He also added up the months and years correctly, a near-impossible skill I know, concluding that if he retired just before he turned 36 he has “another 2 years and 6 months left for 6 fights”. So he isn’t wrong, really. And so probably isn’t deserving of the patronising response.

let him get k0′d by cote or a 205′er in the UFC and we’ll see how quickly his retirement talk ends.

or he’ll retire and return to japan where he will end up losing and we’ll see how quickly the age of 35 wont matter.

silva drops a off the cuff remark almost jokingly it seems and gets all you kids all crazy with rumours. the biggest kid being caplan.

Sam, i think he’s trying to say, if he fights until he is 35 years old and 364 days, that still gives us almost 2 1/2 more years of Anderson Silva. And then he can then retire and turn 36 the next day. Just a little joke.

Thorazine, you’re wrong.

First off, if you add 12 more months to 18 months, that would be 30 months. There are 24 total months in two years.

But that’s beside the point because Silva will be 35 in 18 months. There are 12 months in a year. Six months equals a half year. That’s a year and a half and only six months longer than Silva allegedly said he planned to compete.

Add 12 more months to the 18 months… because he’ll still be 35 yrs old when he retires…. so Silva still has another 2 years and 6 months left for 6 fights.
