I’m looking forward to Stann vs. Cantwell 3 more than any other fight. Both have won with exciting KO’s of each other and both are quality up and coming LHW ’s who throw bombs and come to fight. They are evenly matched and I think they will easily win FOTN honors. They aren’ t afraid of mixing it up or getting hit like some of these other guys, who the first time they get hit they look to clinch. Not these two. Also I’m looking forward to seeing Brandon Wolff. Isn’t Wolff the guy War Machine was afraid to fight and subsequently lost his job for refusing to fight him because he heard Wolff was a beast. It would be funny if he turned out to be a BUM

might as well add that i hate this new site format
it’s slow and instead of knowing the stuff at the top is the newest, i have to check out 4 different sections to see what is latest content on the page

Great move by Stann to train with Jackson. Stann’s loss to Cantwell proved that his game was one dimensional–big power striking. If he can develop some basic wrestling and grappling, he could contend with the next tier of talent.

I really hate to see WEC drop middleweight and light heavies. That makes the WEC more of a “niche” org. for lighter weights. Sure they have a following, but can they succeed as a brand with a narrower focus? Diminishing WEC would be tragic imo. Zuffa should’ve kept the heavier classes in WEC and used them for developing raw talent and helping new fighters develop fan bases.

This is a perfect fight to market, and will help transition the WEC guys into the UFC. Regardless of what one thinks of the card, this is a fundraiser foremost, so I doubt the UFC is going to bring in huge fighters who demand bigger salaries per fight. The UFC will make money off of their TV deal, but probably nothing in the way of admission. If one doesn’t want to watch it then fine, this is about getting money to a good cause and either one believes in the cause or doesn’t.

thought the ufc would have put on at least a couple of big name fighters for this. they want people to ring in and donate right? that card doesnt really hold much reason for people to tune in. im sure not gonna go out of my way to watch it live. record it watch it later, absolutely, no doubt.
i thought maybe ortiz would be back to headline it!

Aside from Koscheck vs. Yoshida and the Frankie Edgar fight this card looks awful.Why is Swick matched up with a guy who barely does enough to stay on the UFC roster and the rest of the fights look pretty weak to say the least.
