September 29, 2008 by Matt Cava

Below are pictures of ShoXC: Elite Challenger Series that took place this past Saturday at Chumash Casino Resort in Tucumcari, N.M.  In the main event, undefeated Wilson Reis became the first-ever EliteXC bantamweight champion, out-scoring a very game Abel Cullum over all five rounds. The rest of the night was jammed with vicious striking, as displayed in detail by the images below…

Awesome pics! Really good quality photos!
It was a pretty nice ShoXC card on Friday.

That was a really good shoXC card.
I think someone should tell Malaipet that when he has a guy limping he needs to take him out. Malaipet could have easily crippled that dude but he let him hang around to long.
I also think Wilson Reis got lucky cause Abel was doing well in that fight. I am looking forward to seeing Abel Cullum fight again.

cullum-reis was an excellent example of a fight that’s a clear decision the whole way, but still tense and exciting right up to the end. reis has some great top control and the scrambles, sweeps, and positional battles in that fight were awesome. cullum’s heart and craftiness was great to see too…let’s see if he stays at featherweight and gets some more fights in EXC.
