Man, I’m going to come right out and say it, I’m biased on this fight, ok. Please just let me have that? I won’t let it skew my opinion again.

Please take back the one dimensional comment though, Roy has decent stand-up for a heavyweight. But nowhere near Andrei.

Joey, if he is one dimensial enough that a single questionable standup loses you the fight then perhaps MMA is not the sport for him. All ref decisions are judgement calls and sometimes they are not going to be in your favor. Until we have robotic referees this will always be the case so any MMA fighter should just get used to it.

The downside to posting the same thing in two different places, is you have twice as many comments disagreeing with you Just as a side note, the first time I posted it, I hadn’t read it from anybody else yet. Probably cause I posted it in the oldest topic that I could but either way. Not everyone has said echoed by beliefs, the reason I’m so upset about it is none of the announcers disagreed with it (if I remember correctly), and none of the writers have disagreed about it, only us.

I wanted Roy to win, not because I dislike Arlovski or the UFC, but I want the other organizations legitimized. People like Nelson deserve to be a star and featured with main promotions. If the UFC completely wins out, and other promotions aren’t legitimized than we’re going to lose out on getting to see fighters such as him. Think about it, Dana is vengeful enough to say Fedor doesn’t belong in the top five.

Yes, youre exactly right Hex, its MMA, if you’re strength is the ground game, you should be able to work it without having the ref throw it out the window for you, this isn’t Sanshou (Punches, Kicks, Throws, but no ground)

I agree with Robert. The standup was bad but come on, this is MMA. Sometimes bad calls happen, part of being a fighter is have a game well-rounded enough to survive these bad calls.

Joey everyone has been saying this you’re simply repeating what everyone else is saying about the stand up bad move by the referee no kidding, but i would hardly call the fight a joke i think you’re being a little to dramatic.

The Arlovski fight was a joke! Roy had him in side control and was working a kimura that he almost got TWICE and the ref stood it up! Are you kidding me!!! I don’t think Andrei was getting up and I think Roy had a good chance of finishing him. Anyone that knows anything about MMA knows that fight should not have been stood up. Ridiculous!!!!

I don’t know about the Arlovski fight. When he went to the ground against Rothwell, I wasn’t impressed. He took quite a bit of damage against Ben, and Ben isn’t even known for his ground prowess!
I personally watched “Big Country” work Frank Mir over and out point him at a Grapplers Quest tournament here in Vegas a few yrs ago. Plus Nelson looked pretty impressive against Big Ben Rothwell in the IFL. I think he can easily upset Andre. Andre has poor striking defense when he’s on the offensive…..He ALWAYS drops his hands.
Can’t wait to see tonights fights!!

If Ken wins this Kimbo should go back to fighting bouncers in backyards.Shamrock’s body and face have changed a lot it seems like within the past few years he looks older than 44.

LOL Shields is a dominant WW fighter and Daley is talented but Shields will have little trouble and subbing him.

that’s the 2nd most definite fight of the night after Kimbo KO’s ken SHAMrock.

Gina could lose to a more experienced Kobold, I agree and Benji vs Ninja is a close one too.

The Pitbull will pound on Big Country and eek out a decision IMO.
