Lappen said that only a KO bonus was available during one interview and then said that both a submission and KO bonus were available in an ESPN interview. People are lying here and it's really too bad that this scummy promotion has cast doubt on the sport of MMA. I don't want MMA to turn into boxing and with companies like this running around making up rules and lies as they go, it doesn't help to change the mainstream perception. Had Elite said we will dock you if you dont stand then that would be an issue. Saying hey if you can ko this guy then you get more money to me is not a big deal.....hell we dont know what locker room bonuses were given out by the ufc....I guarantee you those locker room bonuses had something to do with exiting fights...I see no difference between the two. imo this is getting way overblown.
