UFC 89: Bisping vs. Leben draws average of 2.6 million viewers
Spike TV and the UFC released a joint-press release on Tuesday to announced that that Saturday’s broadcast of UFC 89 that featured Michael Bisping recording a unanimous decision win over Chris Leben averaged a total of 2.6 million viewers, which translates to a household rating of 1.7.
The event, which was held in Birmingham, England at the National Indoor Arena and aired in the United States on a tape-delay basis, peaked during the 11:30-11:45 p.m. quarter hour. The rating during the second to last quarter hour drew a rating of 3.7 in the male 18-34 demographic along with a household rating of 2.3 for an average of 3.4 million viewers.
When breaking down the overall demographics, the press release states that UFC 89 did a 2.7 rating in males between the ages of 18-34 (771,000 viewers) and a 2.5 rating with men between the ages of 18 and 49 (1.4 million viewers).
