That is really not a sure thing at all. One of Silva’s big advantages right now is how big he is compared to most of his opponents- he cuts a lot of weight and has a significant reach advantage over most guys he fights. For those that are aware of the judges and the way fights are scored, and being someone who is interested in predicting the actual outcome of the fight, as opposed to simply giving their opinion of who won, it makes perfect sense to predict a SD in some cases- it simply means you think the fight was close enough that the judges would disagree with each other. She was more like a mother to him, and i think that it was all in her memory. Other than that, I personally gave the first round to Cote for octogon control and aggressiveness. Silva didn't impress me for one second in the first round. Finally he decided to do something in the second round, but almost looked like he was TRYING to get Cote into the third round and beyond. I mean, feeling out a power puncher is one thing, but Anderson didn't even do that with James Irvin and I'd be more afraid of a 205 puncher than a 185er. After the second round was over it was pretty much clear that Anderson would win the fight, it was just a matter of when where and how brutal.
