Sherk DEFINITELY won the first round. you CAN'T argue with that. and although Griffin started to show more aggression towards the end of the 2nd, it was AFTER an onslaught on Sherks behalf.. Sherks was landing punch after punch, and then that brutal combo that went unanswered.. Thus, Sherk won r1 and r2 easy.. I’m glad Sherk got the win.. in my book, Tyson’s the king of controversial decision wins.. I thought Clay Guida beat Griffin.. I thought Tavares did more work, and deserved the win over Griffin, and i thought that all those takedowns from Tibau should’ve gotten him the win over Griffin..

It was very close but Sherk showed more control, and did get the only real takedowns which traditionally seem to be counted for points by NSAC judges even if they don't do any real damage. Griffin put up a great fight and showed a lot of heart but that first round was brutally in Sherk's favor and Griffin couldn't quite make up for it in the later rounds.
