Remember a guy named Randy Cotoure? I believe he didn't start training in MMA til he was 33... granted he has a wrestling background but still... Looking at Kimbos standup...to be honest there are a lot of guys in the UFC that aren't as technically sound on the feet and that's just being honest.. As a fighter myself on Mike Reilly's Team Bison (with the like of.. Brett Rogers and Kelly Kobold)- I kinda have mixed feelings about guys such as Kibo and Brock...although Brock's situation is more understandable. Part of me congratulates Kimbo for using the avenue that he used to get himself noticed...it was pure genius... the power of technology...from youtube to fightin on Showtime and CBS, that was incredible and makin more money than 90% of the UFC. Honestly myself or noone can hate on that...hell the guy lived out of his car for a short period of time. And make no bones about it, Kimbo is and athlete, playing ball and the Univ. Of Miami and then later being cut by the Dolphins...the guys isn't just a street thug...walkin into the arena no matter how he looks or how he comes off..people should do there research. And as far as Dana White and the comments...come on now, he needs to worry about keeping his fighters under contract because Affliction seems to be slowly but surely snatchin them from him with his cheap ass... start paying your fighters the money their worth, that should be your focus, how the hell does Rashad Evans get a bonus of only $60,000 for completely knocking the F$ck out one of the Icons of the sport!? You mean to tell me u couldn't have made it a cool $100,000? Bullsh$t!lol Anyways..Kimbos career isn't over...really its up to him rather or not he wants to continue to pursue MMA...but again people need to stop hatin a guy for making a living and gettin mad because an organization decided to market him as a great MMA fighter. We fighters knew the deal prior to Kimbo gettin into the cage... we train all around clearly he was one dimensional from da gate...so really no true student of the game expected for him to be an all start in a sport that he just began training.. But what happens is...just like with Anderson's fight last weekend, people put all these expectations on guys. Putting Kimbo on the Show would be a good idea actually for Ratings and $$$ obviously...but really it would be a great experience for Kimbo as well...it wouldn't hurt to get some more training in...and lets be real the UFC is hurting for 185ers and heavyweights... if Dana was really smart he'd put my friend and Teammate on there with him: Brett "The Grim" Rogers...(smile) how bout that? Hired a great trainer and got in one of the bigger orgs(at the time obv), we all know it isn’t up to Kimbo who he fights.
