Every TUF has a guy who talks tough but can’t back it up. This season seems to have more of that than previous versions. Jules talked about smashing Vinny’s face and breaking his teeth, but didn’t throw a single strike for a full minute, and it was a really weak inside leg kick. And last week Junie blathered on and on about beating Roli in the first round, and could barely finish three rounds on his feet. Pretty anemic. In the words of GSP, “I am not impressed with your performance.”

This may be a conspiracy theory but perhaps the UFC is upset with Machida’s fighting style and trying to make him go un-noticed.

I think that they are terrified of becoming a champ because he would be “un-marketable”

If thats the case then this sport may turn into a soap opera like WWE. Lesnar 1 win in the octagon and a title shot!?

yeah, i noticed the machida thing too. must feel slighted. silva makes an appearance, and all the promos are hyping it. all machida gets to do is sit around eating birthday cake. you’d think dana would wanna at least mention him, so he’d have an excuse to show clips of him beating tito. but, i suppose there’s still time to hype him in future episodes.

That indeed was Machida. He was in a couple of scenes from the birthday party, although he in the background and not featured.

I thought I saw Machida at Nog’s B-Day dinner. Was he in the show but edited out?

I read on Tatame that him and Anderson Silva were going to make guest appearances. I saw Silva but no Machida. Then at the B-Day dinner I swear I saw him.
