I got tapped not because of the armbar but because of the smell from his crotch! Broke about half of those rules. I came from old traditional Karate to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and it was no comparison. Cardio destroyed me, didn't realize I needed to trim my nails, didn't know what to call my instructors the first week, tried to help out the 1st timers only to offend the instructors. Yeah every rule I broke, but after they got to know me a little it was nothing but respect , love, and understanding. MMA taught me a lot about character. Even if I never make it anywhere, I'll keep training till my funeral. I wish I had read this article when I started training. Broke about half of those rules.
