Pat Miletich to headline next Adrenaline MMA show on Dec. 11 vs. Thomas Denny

November 1, 2008 by Sam Caplan

First-ever UFC lightweight champion Pat Miletich will be returning to competitive mixed martial arts on Dec. 11 in a headlining match vs. Thomas Denny during Adrenaline MMA’s second-ever event.

Miletich informed FiveOuncesOfPain.com of the news earlier this week, which was confirmed during Friday night’s airing of HDNet’s “Inside MMA.”

One of the sport’s legendary trainers, Miletich has not competed since September of 2006, where he lost a superfight to Renzo Gracie during an IFL event.

The Dec. 11 Adrenaline MMA show will be the promotion’s first since its inaugural event this past June in Chicago. Adrenaline’s second show will take place again in Illinois, this time in Moline at the I Wireless Center.

Denny, 26-17, is a former King of the Cage welterweight champion and most recently competed during EliteXC and CBS’ Saturday Night Fights event in Stockton, Calif. on July 26. Making his national television debut, Denny lost to Nick Diaz via second round TKO.
