    Filho misses weight . . . wait for it . . . by 7 pounds.
Was he aware the fight is this week?
    7 pounds, friends.

    Wow.

  7. JollyDV on November 4th, 2008 5:51 pm

Holy Macaroni Batman! Filho, Brown and Rani missed weight. 7 pounds is an awful lot of weight. What was he thinking????

“Rani Yahya def. Yoshiro Maeda by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 3:30, Round 1″

Ok now that is a surprise.

  9. Robert on November 5th, 2008 7:55 pm

Maeda makes a habit out of losing to lesser fighters Joe Pearson,Krazyhorse, and Yahya, not that big of a surprise he seems to step up his game against tougher competition.

So i’m sittin’ here lookin’ at ma DVR, and WEC KO’s is on right now..
where i am the show doesn’t start for another hour..

    so, i see why there’s undercard results…

but how the main card result? [cerrone/mccullough]

idk maybe i’m just tired or something hehe

At the fight now. Word from one of the managers is that Filho came into the arena 27 pounds over and cut 20 pounds here before the weigh-in. That is why he never got closer, he would have never made it.

Awesome fight for Rosholt. Proved he has a chin and I was shocked he never got dropped.

  12. Davey D on November 5th, 2008 9:04 pm

yeah, Comcast said the event went live at 9pm. I fliped on Versus to watch the KO Show and Jens was beating beat down by Garcia. WTF? I’ll just catch the replay to see what I missed. Another KO just happened, Oldboy was ko’d while still on his feet…timber. WEC baby!

  13. Dball on November 5th, 2008 9:23 pm

If anyone owns a telescope, set it to 46 N and 27 E and you can follow the trajectory of David Avellan’s chin.

  14. triangleman on November 5th, 2008 9:38 pm

I hope to god Chael Sonnen doesn’t get signed by UFC, and after tonight Dana White won’t even look @ him!!!! What did he train w Brandon Vera, fight not to lose!!! He hasn’t taken any chances in this fight and he needed to show up and try and knock him out instead he pawed him to death and stalled on the ground. He had no intentions of engaging him on the ground but he threw half a$$ kicks to not waste energy and waste time! I was pissed @ Filho for the overweight showing now I feel the same way about Sonnen for not showing any balls!!!

  15. TEACHER on November 5th, 2008 9:44 pm

Why is the voting poll asking us to choose between Pulver or Brown instead of Faber or Brown?

  16. egad81 on November 5th, 2008 11:03 pm

Garcia vs Brown in the spring!
