I think UFC would love to make Tito v Anderson Silva/ Rampage / Wandy/ Shogun/ Forrest(again)/ Franklin / Hendo. All of those fights would be massive, and have a ton of anticipation.

I never see Tito fighting for and winning the title again, but he could still be a solid fighter for a few more years.

Bill Lumberg guys like Tito Ortiz , Ken and Frank Shamrock, Dan Severn, and Mark Coleman are the pioneers of this sport who were dominant forces in it before it was popular and they deserve respect. Dana White and the Fertitta’s rode Tito Ortiz in the early stages of their ownership to keep the company afloat until it blew up after TUF that’s why Lorenzo Fertitta will offer Tito a contract no matter how his relationship with Dana has sank because he appreciates how much he meant to the UFC when then took over from SEG.

Tito always wants crazy amounts of money, so who knows who can afford him. It is doubtful he is worth his asking price for any organization.

Personally, I would love to see him fight Babalu in Affliction, but I just don’t know if that is a big money fight.

If Tito wants the biggest fights possible for him, he should probably sign for the UFC with another deal allowing a piece of the PPV revenue. Here are some options I just thought about for him in the UFC that I haven’t heard mentioned elsewhere. He could be an interesting Light-Heavyweight test for Anderson Silva, and that fight would do significant PPV numbers. Or, if Randy Couture loses to Lesnar, a rematch at 205 between him and Randy would also sell very well, IMO. Also, a rematch against Wanderlei Silva is always welcome.

At this stage, I see Tito fighting just a couple of big name fights and not really being in contention for a belt. However, a fight against any of these three would do fantastic PPV numbers, and if Tito somehow pulled out a win, would put him right back in the mix despite a rough couple of years.

KTru you’re saying Tito is washed up? The same Tito who beat the current UFC champion and had a draw with the current #1 contender. For someone so eager to correct someone’s spelling you should first think about the ridiculous comment you made beforehand. You’re taking these post too personal which tells me you’re obviously on Couture’s nuts and upset everyone else is not in line with you.

Tito’s career lately can be summed up in a simple song.

“Once, Twice, Three Times Malady”.

Beating Ken, losing to Lyoto, and a draw against Evans. Tito needs to get out of the UFC. He needs a change of scenery. I am not a big Tito fan, but he has a few decent fights left in him. I expect him to sign with any body but Dana. Affliction would be a good home. If he can humble himself, get heathly, and start to take his potential competition seriously, he might see a few wins.

the kurt angle comparison is because angle always says that he’s close to competing in MMA. Tito has been on the verge of signing a blockbuster contract for months now. I doubt anyone would sign him this early though. Maybe in a couple of months, just to see how the surgery/recovery went.

and CASH, it was a draw with evans. I think tito shouldve won the fight, but he grabbed the fence and ended up with a draw. too bad. And a controversial win over a developing forrest, a draw with evans, and a loss to machida doesnt make him a top contender that he once was.

Neil@LightOutRadio.com are you kidding comparing Tito and Kurt Angle a guy who held the UFC Light heavyweight championship longer than anyone and has been part of the biggest PPV events in UFC history to a guy who’s never had an MMA fight, and I hate when people say does anyone even care about this person or that person well obviously yes because their being talked about. You could say that about anyone does anybody even care about Randy Couture. Some do some don’t I personally could care less if Randy ever fights again.

Does anyone really care about Tito anymore? All this talk about him signing with (the promotion of the week) is all very akin to Kurt Angle talking about how he’s getting ready for an MMA debut. Whoever signs Tito needs to do it and get it over with, so they can bury him to build their stars.. that way we won’t need to listen to this nonsense anymore.
