Todd Beard is going to drive Affliction MMA straight into the dirt. The ranting, threat’s and of course…all of his criminal history coming to light can not be good news to any current/future client’s or investor’s.

Randy Couture is one of most beloved athlete’s in this sport. Todd Beard see’s fit to verbaly spar with Mrs. Couture and threaten her well being. Who in their right mind would further associate themselves with him and feel good about it? Sure as hell not me. I will not pay a dime for anything Affliction related. I never have and thanks to Ol’ Dirty Beard, I never will.

I heard this guy’s rant on the Scott Ferrall show and it sounded to me at the time like he was just trying to be outrageous for the radio and got way too carried away. But in light of this latest drama and the revelation of his violent criminal history, this guy is definitely mentally unstable and dangerous. Unfortunately, the Coutures made a really bad busniess decision. When you do busniess with convicted felons things like this or worse are bound to happen.

more important question, if you knew he was a P.O.S, and dangerous, WHY did you pick him to make your signature line of clothes??

More to the story me thinks.

I believe that deal was made two years ago or so. A lot can change during that time, and a lot of people don’t do background checks on their business associates so they may not have known until later.

In order to obtain a restraining order Kim Couture would have to explain in her declaration the specific facts of his harassment of her. Prior criminal history wouldn’t be enough to obtain the order. What were the specific things he did to harass her? What did he do in his “campaign of terror?” The declaration should spell this out.

Sam does this cause you to rethink your pick? That is a lot of drama going around the Couture house and gym the week of a big fight. Randy’s a pro, but you have to wonder if any of this is causing him to lose focus.

If anything, filing this restraining order should allow him to maintain focus. It must be pretty distracting to have a guy menacing your wife like that.
