Strikeforce “Destruction:” Quick Results

Former EliteXC title contender Scott Smith continued to shown signs of improvement during a 24 second knockout against former UFC competitor Terry Martin during the main event of Strikeforce’s “Destruction” on Friday night.
Additionally, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, another former UFC competitor, was victorious during the night’s co-main event. Facing season one veteran from The Ultimate Fighter, Bobby Southworth, Sobral became the new Strikeforce light heavyweight champion after being declared the winner via TKO following a stoppage after the first round due to a cut.
The night’s action also saw Kim Couture, the wife of former UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture, earn her first professional victory with a first round TKO against Lina Kvokov.

horrible production, half the time you couldnt hear the announcers, and the crowd must have been asleep
JoHn I wish I couldn’t hear Mike Goldberg when he’s announcing or Frank Trigg when he is,as far as the crowd goes would you rather they booed for no apparent reason or started a random USA chant. I thought it was a good card and I’m glad Edwards lost so there is no possibility of Thomson having to waste his time fighting him.
wow kim couture really mauled that poor girl from portland (my home town). kvokov was just not prepared for couture’s level of striking.
I was also glad to see riggs get a win, he needed one badly.
