I only have to say one thing.I as a man who has seen depression and suicidle attempts would like to share something to educate those who have never had to endure such a hard to grasp condition or really understand the disease. Whether it was suicide or murder there was a physcotic issue wheather drug induced or undetected physchiatric condition Bottom line is mince words , or he said she said is all for not..To do what was done was a illness or a condition which caused someone to go that far which still in my eyes makes the person or persons ill . That being said there are a lot of people mourning from a huge loss at what is supposed to be a festive season to join family and friends . I say let this subject drop and get something more positive to say about these individual
people about how they lived and not the gossip about how they departed .

May they rest in peace. (god bless thier souls )

I spoke with a good friend of mine the other day and we were talking about this incident. Something that may open your minds a little to the recent deaths in the MMA community is that as this sport grows more and more each day, there will be more and more tragic situations to surface. These guys are people just like you and I and unfortunately there are a lot of crazy and sad people out there. It’s very possible that some of these crazy and sad people could be fighters too. I think we are possibly finding that statement to be a fact now.

My thoughts and prayers go out to both families and friends of these two people. I hope they find justice in this matter if indeed the shooter is not Justin or Sara.

What a tragedy. I hate to even think about it. 28 and 25 years old. Their lives were actually just beginning. God Bless them and their families.

We’ll just have to wait and see what the investigation shows, and hopefully there will be a lesson to learn from this tragic story, right now all I can think of is that I hope their families find peace soon.

How could a human being actually have such a small, empty mind that they feel the need to comment on the title of this article. There was nothing false, misleading or ambiguous about the title. Sam let us know that 2 people, alive just hours before, are now dead after being shot. Pretty plain and simple. Why make an arguementative ass out of yourself and instead just get a life and do everyone a favor- keep to your area of expertise and allow Sam to do his. If you don’t feel like being the worlds biggest loser any more then study journalism, open up your own website and say that Levens and his wife appear to have been killed by dangerous, speeding bullets that came from out of nowhere. It’s a tragedy, and to these immature kids who come on here and debate what the headline should be, get a life. I hope this woman will be able to live with the fact that she found her daughter dead, that’s the most important part, not whether or not some loser on his mothers couch thinks the headline is appropriate. peace

I find it kinda funny that everyone is just assuming that if it is indeed a murder suicide that automatically the man has to be the person responsible. No matter what the circumstances of the incident it is very traggic and my heart goes out to all there family and friends.

I agree with the comment about a misleading headline. A much better one would be something along the lines of “Former UFC Fighter Justin Levens found Dead in Condo” or “Former UFC Fighter Justin Levens found Dead Due to Gunshot Wounds” Both are accurate without making assumptions about who fired the gun(s), whereas ‘shot to death’ clearly implies someone else did the shooting.

This is the most depressing December since 1929 and I am sure we are going to hear a lot more horrible stories in the next several months.

I’m surprised the article doesn’t mention Levens is currently serving a suspension for steroids. As I recall he was set to fight at “Affliction: Banned”, got bumped from the card for time reasons, and still submitted a dirty sample. I think that’s an important aspect to this story whether because of how steroids affect people or how Levens may have been struggling with some internal demons due to his layoff from the sport. A lot of fighters don’t know where else to go when the cage isn’t an option.

Really… Are you bashing a guys comment because he wants to bless the victim(s) and families because you misinterpreted (sp) the headline and/or article. The headline is a bit misleading, Sam. It’s making it look like they were murdered and It’s causing the first comment to say God Bless them to someone who did a Chris Benoit impersonation.

Mike, you’re WAAAY off base. There’s nothing misleading about the headline. It’s being reported that Levens and his wife were shot to death. It’s being INVESTIGATED as a murder-suicide. To phrase the headline any other way would be misleading. You can rush to judgment all you want but I don’t have that luxury.
