Glad to hear Rampage has turned things around….good for him. Maybe not being able to drive in England is a good thing . BTW, Silva demolishes Rampage for a third and hopefully final time

If Bisping is Rampages sparring partner that’s a questionable choice. Forest seems to be working with Wandy, that seems like a great idea. Who else is in the Wolfslair camp?

Hey Sam,

Isn’t it true that Rampage has been training in Muay Thai in preparation for this fight? If so, who is his trainer? I seem to remember reading something about this, but cannot remember where, and have not seen anything on it lately.

Will we see Jackson using the Muay Thai clinch and knees of his own in this fight? If so, it might be an interesting battle of knees with the occasional monster punch thrown in.

“There’s a difference between training to fight and fight training”.
That’s a great point and I’m skeptical about the quality of training he will receive at the Wolfslair. There’s no doubt Bisping, and presumably his partners, push themselves hard in training cardio-wise but I would be less than confident about the new skills Rampage is likely to develop. That said, I think the difference in ability and preparation between Rampage now and Rampage then is sizable. And that coupled with an aging and not so physically imposing Silva will mean that Rampage can avoid getting caught on the feet and get this to the ground. Therefore, Sam, I agree. Unanimous decision – Jackson.

I just watched the Pride Silva vs. Rampage fights and the Jardine fight and I can’t see a noticable difference in Silva’s size. When he’s not in the weight class and not cutting weight I would tend to think he’d come in a little heavier, but I can’t see a real difference in muscle. Probably just that he’s a little older and not quite as atheletic these days.

I’m really hoping for fireworks, they both have the ability to end the other’s night early and make for a great stylistic matchup.

Yeah, he was in great shape before the fight with Jardine, but he looked about the same as his fight with Liddell. He just isn’t as big as he was in Pride. Take a look at the old footage. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think so.

Silva isn’t the same fighter that he was in Pride. He doesn’t have the muscle mass that he did, and without that his aggressive style isn’t as overwhelming. On the other hand, I’m curious about Rampage’s training, because I really don’t know anything about the Wolf’s Lair other than it’s where Bisping trains. Bisping has good stand up, but his ground game has always been a question in my mind. Maybe there won’t be any ground game in the upcoming Rampage/Silva fight, but it still makes me wonder about the overall depth of the Wolf’s Lair. In any event, as long as Rampage has his head right, I think he’ll win by TKO or KO.

This fight is going to be fireworks. I do not see this one going to a decision. Based on the brutality Silva was able to inflict on Quinton in their past two encounter’s. I am going with Wand to win via KO, again. It is a shame one has to lose because I am a fan both but this is a fightsport and draw’s rarely happen. I highly doubt that will happen in this case.

I hope Wand will get to fight the winner of Forrest/Rashad or Machida/Silva. I would also like to see Quinton fight Tito Ortiz. That might be a stretch because it isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
