I think Forest should definately take this one to the ground. I went back and re-watched Forrest vs. Jeremy Horn from IFC. Even though he lost, His ground game was rock solid even then. One can only assume he's gotten even better since. Thinking Forrest by sub, round 4.

i thought Forrest would for sure lose to Shogun... he didn't..
i thought Forrest would for sure lose to Rampage... he didn't..
i thought Rashad would lose to Tito... he didn't...
i thought Rashad would lose to Chuck... he obviously didn't..

this one's just to hard to call here..

it's the battle of the guys that overcome the odds..

i want to pick forrest simply because, i don't think evans can/will knock him out..
forrest's defense is too good for that now..
but evans could always, for the first time in a while, resort to his wrestling game and pound a decision.. then again Forrest could sub him on the ground.. idk, there's just too many possibilities..

the jackson camp seems to be the BEST at making the perfect gameplan for your opponent, and carrying it out.. so, i think this fight will be harder for forrest than the rampage fight was..

it's hard for me to pick, but i have Forrest via UD..

PS- Voridor, why do you feel so strongly about Rashad needing to move down, when he has yet to have problems with a LHW [aside from Tito, but that was just him being dumb] and is now going to be fighting for a title at LHW?

I've been saying Evans should move down to Middleweight for years. This loss to Forrest should be an indicator to step down because of his size. Same with the Axe murderer.

On paper this fight looks like it would go the distance. But I keep having a feeling that Forrest scores a KO or TKO in the third. I have been wrong before. I will be reading the play by play here at 5oz. I really cannot afford to spend $54.95 right after the holidays. This is going to be a good card.

Could Evans drop down (if he loses) to take on Anderson? I have not see anyone mention that matchup and I think it could be quite a show. We saw the result of Liddell vs Evans and we saw how it turned out and then there was the discussion about Liddell vs Silva. Maybe a better matchup would be the Silva Evans fight. Just a thought.
