I’m glad to hear Dana is openly considering Machida as a candidate for a LHW title shot.

I was pretty worried when they didn’t bother to show any footage of him on the ultimate fighter.

Rampage wont go to jail, celebrities never go to jail. If you havnt learned this well than theres really nothing anyone can do for you as a human being. Machida is going to pick apart T. Silva’s brawling style quite nicely but knowing people, he still won’t get the recognition or respect that he deserves.

There is open speculation that the UFC doesn’t want a “one in” fight for a guy like Fedor, especially for a belt when that fighter could walk away with the UFC belt and throwing midgets or hurtling giants on New Year’s Eve in Japan with YOUR belt. Very awkward.

Well, if Rampage is allowed to fight for the belt, wins, and then is not acquitted or otherwise dismissed from consequence by a jury of his peers, it will be very awkward to have to figure out if YOUR belt is in Lompoc or still at Chino. How weird would it be for Rampage to go to San Quentin, which is a garbled transliteration of “Saint Quentin”? A vowel slip here or there and Rampage (God’s Soldier, mind you) could have been Saint Quinton. Well, a vowel slip and a sound mind, perhaps.

Imagine this:
The UFC Light Heavyweight Belt belongs to Cletus Ugly, serving two consecutive life terms. That would be a hard fight to book. I have odds that Five Ounces would ONLY be doing phone interviews with that new champion.

Brandon , Penn and Franklin didnt get beat by Lyoto in UFC , so Dana doesnt give 2 shits about those wins.

The 205 belt will be changing hands at least 2x in 09 I think. I dont see anyone dominating that division imo.

They haven’t tested him with many contenders at 205 thus far. Tito is the only one that comes to mind. They seem to be taking their sweet time with him. I don’t really understand why.

Moments after the Rashad win I called it that RAMPAGE or LYOTO would be his first test…. (its kinda a no brianer) but I forgot about Thiago Silva who is set to fight Lyoto.
