UFC Fight Night 18 set for April 1 in Nashville, Tennessee
UFC President Dana White stated in December during a public Q&A session prior to “UFC Fight for the Troops” that the promotion was planning on holding an event in Tennessee sometime in 2009.
FiveOuncesOfPain.com has learned that the UFC will be making its Tennessee debut in Nashville on April 1 when it presents UFC Fight Night 18. Five Ounces of Pain was informed of the news by several sources close to fighters that are expected to compete on the card.
UFN 18 will be broadcast on Spike TV and will serve as a prelude to the season premiere for the ninth season of The Ultimate Fighter, which will feature a team of eight UK fighters coached by Michael Bisping facing a team of eight U.S.-based fighters expected to be coached by either Dan Henderson or Rich Franklin.
As of now, FiveOuncesOfPain.com has only been able to confirm one match for UFC 18, with the site having reported on Friday that TUF 8 lightweight champion Efrain Escudero will be making his formal UFC debut against Jeremy Stephens.

Wow…..no cupcakes for Efrain. Stephens has serious KO power.
