T.J. Grant signs four-fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship
FiveOuncesofPain.com has learned that Canadian welterweight prospect T.J. Grant has signed a four-fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Grant’s UFC debut will come on April 18 at UFC 97 but no opponent has been announced at this time.
Grant, a native of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, possesses a mixed martial arts record of 13-2. Grant is currently riding a four-fight winning streak with stoppage victories over Beau Baker, Forrest Petz, Chad Reiner, and Mike Gates.

Hazelett is out against Saunders at UFC 96. Grant would make an excellent substitute. But Saunders might be to much for Grant’s debut. A guy can dream though can’t he?
Im sure TJ will be more then ready for his debut.
Excellent news!!! I have been a big fan of Grant’s for some time now. His TKO fight against Jesse Bongfeldt was fantastic, even though he eventually lost. Hopefully Jesse isn’t far behind in joining the UFC.
hope they didn’t pay a lot for this guy considering they signed him to four fights; they probably have a clause so if he loses the first couple they can dump him
Don’t count on it 27jride TJ is a legitamate fighter he can bang thats for sure you should see some of his fights maybe then you wouldn’t talk shit
TJ is a very good fighter and he’s got a huge following here in Dartmouth. His last fight against BEau Baker the entire crowd was chanting “UFC”. Congrats to TJ! It should be a good test going up against Ryo Chonan
