Trigg has been way too inconsistent and Rua hasn’t been the same since he chubbed up only to get knocked out by Kharitonov.

Where is HE, by the way?!?

I would loooooooooove to see a Sergei/Overeem rubber match.

they impressed the hell out of me..

think about it,
i don’t know about smith,
but Trigg and Rua would’ve destroyed the old Lawler..
Trigg with a decision, and Rua with a knee..
But, with this new patience he has, he’s able to just take his devastating striking to the next level..

no crap. andersilvaspider has dominated, and will continue to dominate.

I say the whole GSP silva can still happen in 2009.

if gsp beats alves..who else really deserves a quick shot at the title?

after silva beats thales..okami is next in line..but after okami wins his next fight, he will be surprisingly cut from the UFC..,and the whole lame TUF thing will take another year to complete.

watch for GSP SILVA at ultimate 2009.

I just don’t understand people clamoring for Lawler to return to the UFC to fight Silva.

Lawler is pretty much the same fighter he was in the UFC albeit with a bit more patience in his striking game.

His wins over middling competition like Trigg, Rua, and Smith haven’t impressed me in the least.

So much for Silva – Lawler. At least he hs *some* other gecent guys to fight. Shields to Strikeforce, though… If *that* happens, considering the dearth of welterweights over there, shields will move to the top of my least favourites list.
