thank you for being more descriptive in your criticism but imo thats still bashing. are you seriously a huge mma fan or are you just a fan of major name mma organizations? ... have you watched IVC, IFC ...the smaller more amateurish mma shows?

Not all organizations can meet up to the standards that the larger ones with more finance can provide you with. I respect that such a small show was able to go through the night even with so many bout cancellations and judging that was not in it's control, as well as having the main event and tank abbotts bout end without controversy.

If you are a serious mma fan, how many amateur mma events have you seen or been to? Many of those events sometimes have chaos....fights in the audience, riots, or have had other bad things happen to them. To blame such an amateur or small production for things you take for granted in bigger organizations is not fair. The only reason we got to see this event and criticize is because of sherdog's live stream.

Even k1 had sapp pull out of its main event a few minutes or hours before he had to fight, and peter aerts borrowed the fight shorts from a team member and fought instead. Pride also had its overhead ring lights go out during sapp vs nogueira. UFC has had tournaments where people could not continue due to injuries...a lot of things are not within the organization's control.

Calling fighters by disrespectful names no matter where they are in their careers is disrespectful. Have you barfed or thrown up while training in the gym? Were you with them when they struggled through injuries? Do you have any idea regarding the sacrifices fighters have to make just to fight? Getting into the ring with an opponent no matter how bad the opponent is already half the fight and should have earned the fan's respect.

IMO fans need to sit through some old mark kerr vale tudo events in brazil where its 30 minutes rounds of attrition to really appreciate the sport that they "love". We have gone from eagerly anticipating a fighter's skills to reveal itself in a struggle of chance and honor; to waiting to be pleased while we sit from our comfy seats. This is why people feel unsatisfied after 30 minutes of "perceived inaction" and voice their displeasure vocally.

If i sound like an elitist then i apologize, i only started watching mma in 2003, but with the assistance of the internet i have realized what being a true fan actually means. btw hooknshoot events are awesome, you should check them out.

if you want an mma-tracker invite id be glad to share it, just because i probably came across as an ass, just send me an email (hotmail) fenix1979

say 5ouncesofpain in the subject and id be glad to read it.

Hope this aint bashing......

But this was an embarrassing to promoters trying to put on events with hard working fighters that are there for more than a paycheck and the fact that they can cal themselves an mma fighter.

This was disgraceful. Other than a couple fighters, the fighters, and more so, teh promotion was the farthest from profesional.

Really "The Monster" Canrock had a better chance of losing to a 16 year old amateur starting out his career.....or for that matter any fighter that could not gas before 60 seconds and was somewhat in shape, and was at least 1/2 the speed of this Clifton character.

Cant see how the gate was more than a few thousand dollars......with the majority of the tickets given away.....unless there were that many peopel available when they gave the tickets away for free.

What a joke to HARD WORKING, serious training up and comers who will never get their name out there.....what is next WWE will start holding events with the "actors" or wrestlers competing under mma rules.

Disgraceful. I may sound harsh, because I am a huge fan of the sport. And for the few fighters there that are serious about their career, I apologize.

I cant wait to see to salaries.....Will probably look somethign like this

All fighters $100 to show and $50,000 to win. Because the cans were so HAND picked, they could trick some that they have a chance at winning $50,000.

Sorry for long post, but this was a travesty. HOW COULD THE athletic commission allow some of these fights to happen?????

There were probably MANY other events, local and regional, that were ten times better than this
