We all have to remember that Diego Sanchez is something of a mythical ninja of MMA, and his self control seems inhuman. Sure, he has lost, anyone can lose. But Sanchez might have only lost to Koscheck because he was sick as a dog with a Staph infection, and he had something like a 3 inch wound on his leg that he had a heck of a time healing. Most would have bailed on that match. I do think his loss to Fitch was very valid, but Fitch is a great fighter as well, and it might have just been a good night for him, bad for Sanchez.

If anyone can pull of the cut with energy to spare, it will be Diego. I don't think it will be an issue.

Sam, you make a compelling argument for Stevenson over Sanchez. I think I'm still going for Sanchez, though. Otherwise, I agree with all your main card picks. I mean, I'm really hoping Gouveia wins, not just because I like Gouveia but because I dislike Marquardt so much. Still, I'm thinking Marquardt will win this via piledriver. (I don't know why I hate Marquardt so much, but I just do.)

Guy, if you have to stretch that far to take another shot at BJ Penn, then it's probably not worth it ;)

I think I pretty much agree with all of Caplan's picks.

Dude, 5oz is turning into the Sherdog forums slowly, but surely. The BJ-GSP thing is as current and relevant as parachute pants. Here is the deal...GSP is the top WW in the world...BJ is the top LW in the world. Let it go.

Mandaloniz trains with BJ Penn in Hawaii. In reading the Paul Kelly bio, Team Penn's legal team (who does all the real fighting these days) have already contested the outcome of the upcoming fight between Kelly and Mandaloniz:

Said legal 'wrangler' BJ Whinestink: "It appears that Mr. Kelly worked in his father's bakery growing up. Anyone familiar with baking knows that bakers spend extensive time around butter and oils. As a result, Mr. Kelly would have an unfair advantage because of the absorbent nature of anglo skin.
The British utilized this unfair advantage throughout Hawaii's history and Team Penn believes that the time is now to correct this imperialistic use of baking products in the subjugation of Hawaiian - based enterprises.
Mr. Kelly's ability to store up butter and cooking oils in his system will give him an unfair grappling advantage, and we protest the outcome of this fight."

It could happen.
