I was at the press table and it was a great night of fights, have to give a HUGE thank you to Sam Caplan for the hospitality, it was greatly appreciated. I just have to add, when I talked to Janne Tulirinta after the fight, I too called it a standing D'arce choke, and he corrected me twice. He calls it a Filandes choke, named after a Finnish Jiu-Jitsu master, Filande. And, Toni Valtonnen's slam KO was by no stretch a freak accident. His fight prior to this one ended in the same way, by a huge slam KO. When we heard Duiyvus' head hit the mat, we knew immediately that he was out. I also have to throw in to the conversation the Korean LHW, that guy is now my hero! If you were to see this short squatty guy, no way would High Kick enter your mind, and he pulled it off, with a little help from exhaustion on the part of his opponent. But there were some great fights and some young up and coming fighters like Jansen and Raphael Davis.......It was a great event live.

These fights were great! Awesome crowd & accessible and reasonably priced beverages made for a awesome night.... although I'm glad you re-capped the fights. It was like 4 1/2 hours! These are the shows we all need to go out and see! Athletes fighting for the love of fighting and that energy was sent through the crowd. Met Eduardo Pamplona who is the nicest guy, even though he looks like he could crush me with his thoughts. Only downside, the only had large m1 t-shirts left, yeah, imagine Chris Farley in yoga gear....
